Whale Cloud and China Unicom Shortlisted as Finalists for TM Forum Excellence Awards 2020
Nanjing, China, July 01, 2020 – Whale Cloud and China Unicom today announced that they have been jointly recognized as finalists for TM Forum Excellence Awards 2020 in the Beyond Connectivity category.
TM Forum’s Excellence Awards recognize the world’s leading companies for their innovative achievements spanning digital transformation, business and IT agility, customer centricity, cross-industry partnering and collaboration, and product and service innovation. The awards also recognize the organizations making a significant contribution to the acceleration of digital transformation throughout the industry.
The arrival of 5G and AI-enabled IoT cyber physical ‘phygital’ systems and B2B2x services is creating new opportunities for enterprises in a broad range of sectors to do things more efficiently and offer new services powered by data – and for telcos to offer new value to these verticals. Whale Cloud and China Unicom have been recognized as finalists for the deployment of a centralized data-sharing platform powered by blockchain technology. The platform unifies data from all data centers across China Unicom Group, including 31 subsidiaries, and enables China Unicom to share and trade data with enterprise customers to allow them to develop and augment services.
“Congratulations to the finalists for this year’s prestigious Excellence Awards,” said Nik Willetts, CEO, TM Forum. “The entries selected by our impartial judging panel make an inspiring set of real-world digital transformation case studies. The business results achieved by this year’s finalists demonstrate that real change is possible and underscore the critical importance of collaboration and co-creation to the future of our industry. I look forward to congratulating the winners in October.”
“We are delighted that Whale Cloud and China Unicom are finalists for TM Forum Excellence Awards 2020,” said Ben Zhou, CEO, Whale Cloud International. “TM Forum Excellence Awards ensure a prestigious and impartial view and deliver valuable peer recognition. Recognizing as finalists is a demonstration of our commitment to leading the digital transformation for customers with innovative and compelling solutions.”
The winners will be announced at a special ceremony at Digital Transformation World in Copenhagen, Denmark in October, 2020.
